Helping Young Students Become Self-Regulated Researchers and Writers – Nancy E. Perry & Lynn Drummond
This article details the practices of one teacher, Lynn, and how she uses teaching strategies and activities to promote self-regulated learning among her students. It includes examples for building a community of learners, introducing complex/meaningful tasks, providing students with choice, giving students control over challenge, and including opportunities for student self-evaluation.
