In the News: BC Has the Highest Child Poverty Rate in Canada

This article discusses a report by child advocacy group, First Call, which found that BC has the highest child poverty rate in Canada, with 1 in 5 children in the province considered statistically poor. First Call’s report makes 16 recommendations, including raising the minimum wage and welfare rates and adopting a $10-a-day child care program.
