Developing Self-Regulated Learners – Barry J. Zimmerman, Sebastian Bonner, & Robert Kovach
This book provides middle and high school teachers with a guide for “motivating and empowering” students through self-regulatory training and development. Zimmerman, Bonner, and Kovach first outline key principles of self-regulated learning (SRL), then present five-week curricula models, part of regular classroom assignments, that teachers can use to help students develop each five key study skills. These skills are time planning and management, text comprehension, classroom note-taking, test anticipation and preparation, and writing.
