In the News: It’s My Future: Students Have a Say on How Education Could be Improved

Approximately 60 students from schools throughout Metro Vancouver met at Gladstone Secondary on November 6 to share their concerns about, and ideas for improving, education. This event, called “It’s My Future,” was and part of a series of student consultations held across Canada to understand student perspectives of how the education system could better prepare them for the jump from school to employment. Students at the Gladstone event said they would benefit from such things as more individualized education, smaller classes, more hands-on courses, internships, and mentor programs.
